Book or Game? It's a Mystery

Careful, people, Nintendo DS may be stalking you nongamers out there. First they offer the oh-so-cute puppy sim of Nintendogs, then follow it up with the noggin-nourishing Brain Age. Now, here's the incredibly cool Hotel Dusk, which is—get this—an interactive book. Here's the setup: Set in the late '70s, the game concerns a cop turned salesman who makes a sales call at the titular hotel—and then must stick around to solve some mysteries. With some pointing and clicking, you’re soon questioning residents, rooting out clues and spouting dialogue straight out of a Raymond Chandler novel. We suspect you'll be hooked in no time.
